1 out of 5 stars caused itchy rash...   July 19, 2010

I ran out of my old stretch mark cream so I went out and got this palmer's tummy butter. After applying it on my belly for couple of days, I developed a bad itchy rash all over my belly. Then I switched back to my old stretch mark cream for couple days, all the itchy rash went away. This product is very greasy and difficult to apply on my skin. not recommended it at all.

I ran out of the Palmers Cocoa Butter Lotion for Stretch Marks (the one that comes in a pump bottle) and thought that with only a month to go with my pregnancy not to buy another big bottle. So I decided to try this Tummy Butter, which worked well the first day. But on day two, I developed an irritating itchy rash on my chest and belly that is driving me up a wall. I've used gentle soap and slathered on aloe vera along with hydrocortisone cream and have quickly gone back to the lotion in hopes of relieving this annoyance. I am throwing this stuff away and do not recommend this product at all.

i got a lot of stretch marks from my first pregnancy so i decided to try this product with my second and it really worked. I started using it very early. Not only did I not get Stretch marks, the ones i already had looked much lighter. will recommend it.

1 out of 5 stars Itchy Rash!?!   March 5, 2010

I loved this product when I first started using it - pleasant subtle scent, soaked into my skin quickly, left skin hydrated all day (I.E. no need to take over the handicapped stall at work to reapply half way through the day!).

Then, about a week after I started using Palmers, I developed this horrible itchy rash all over my belly! I had been using the cream on my hips and butt as well, no rash there, but the itchy belly was maddening! I reverted back to my old cocoa butter and the rash went away after a few days and I thought "Okay, maybe it was the combo of the Palmers and my over-the-belly pants that created the itchy rashy maddness". I gave the product another shot (with the over-the-belly band rolled down) and the infuriating rash came back. Still using the stuff on my butt and hips until it runs out, but I could just use my good old cocoa butter and have only one product cluttering up my bathroom counter, not two.

Very, very disappointed in this product and would never ever recommend it. Would give zero stars if I could.

So I used this cream from about 4 months on and around 8 months I started to get stretch marks and then I started to get a few more... so now I've just stopped using it altogether. I mean, that's why I was buying the cream in the first place. I think that some people get stretch marks and some women don't, if you have some now just from growing up (like I do) then you'll get them in pregnancy and there's not much you can probably do about it. I should have listened to my mother and friends with kids when they said creams are a waste of money... you will get stretch marks if you are going to get them no matter what you do. Oh well, I guess we all have to learn the hard way. I was very disappointed though!!!
