In October 2001 The National Eye Institute (NEI), part of the Federal government’s National Institutes of Health, completed a 10 year major clinical study called the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS). AREDS proved that patients taking a special formula of antioxidant vitamins plus zinc were more likely to retain their macular health. The AREDS recommended formula is found in two daily Viteyes AREDS Advanced capsules.
