SciFit N-Acetyl Cysteine 500mg, 60 caps N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) by SciFit is the N-acetyl derivative of the protein amino acid L-cysteine. NAC is used as a nutritional supplement or as the drug paracetamol in Europe. It can be used for the treatment for acetaminophen overdose and respiratory disorders. NAC is a reducing agent, a mucolytic (breaks down mucous), hepaprotectant, and has antioxidant and antiapoptic activities. N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a direct precursor to the powerful free radical scavenger Glutathione. Glutathione is present in every living cell in the body.
